Add an Access Control locking or unlocking schedule
Access Control locking and unlocking schedules can be added using the Alarm.com customer website.
Creating a schedule will not cause locks to change their status immediately. All scheduled actions will occur at the next scheduled time.
Example: An unlocking schedule is created at 11:00 AM to have all locks unlock at 7:00 AM and lock at 6:30 PM. Since the schedule was created after the unlock time, the schedule will wait until the following day at 7:00 AM to unlock.
To add an Access Control locking or unlocking schedule:
- Log in to the Alarm.com customer website.
- Click Automation.
- Click Schedules.
- Click Add New Schedule, then click Lock/Unlock Schedule.
Note: If no rules have been created, an option to add a new schedule using the new schedule builder will display in the center. The new schedule builder is not currently compatible with Access Control doors. Therefore, the Add New Schedule button in the top right must be used to create an Access Control schedule.
- Create a name for the schedule.
- In Select Doors, click to select which doors will follow the schedule.
- In Choose Schedule Type, select either of the following:
- Use business hours to use the Business Hours schedule that is already created and enabled on the account.
Note: The Use business hours option is not visible if Business Hours are not enabled. For more information about configuring and enabling Business Hours, see Configure Commercial Business Hours. - Create a custom schedule to configure a custom schedule for the rule.
- Use business hours to use the Business Hours schedule that is already created and enabled on the account.
- Click Save.
