DSC Impassa - Panel Troubleshooting Guide
Arming
System does not arm when a zone is open
This is likely occurring because the zone attribute for Force Arming could be disabled. If Force Arming is disabled, then the system cannot be armed if a zone is open.
- Enable the force arming attribute for the zone via enabling option [5] of the section corresponding to that zone (sections [101] through [164]).
Interactive Services
Blank and frozen screen when trying to access Interactive Services menu
This is likely occurring because the Alarm.com module has not successfully logged onto the panel.
- Power cycle the panel.
- Do not try to access Interactive Services until Alarm.com Module Ok displays on the panel.
Section [851] for Interactive Services prompts to enter a section number
This is likely occurring because the Alarm.com communicator is not communicating with the panel.
- Verify section [382] option 5 is enabled. This enables the system communicator.
- Perform a communication test to initiate communication.
- If the behavior continues:
- Disconnect AC and battery power and leave down for two minutes
- Remove back cover of the panel, remove and re-seat module, and also verify all wires are connected properly.
- Replace back cover and wait 2 minutes before powering the panel on.
- Once the panel is powered on, perform a communication test.
Trouble conditions
Panel displays phone line trouble condition but no phone line is connected
This is likely occurring because Telephone Line Monitoring is enabled.
- Disable Telephone Line Monitoring by turning section [015] option [7] OFF.
- Verify section 380, option 1 is Enabled.
Notifications
Panel failure notifications are not received
This is likely occurring because AC Failure Communication Delay is set incorrectly.
- Verify that section [382] option [6] is disabled. This specifies that the AC Failure Transmission Delay is in minutes.
- Verify the delay configured. Go to section [377] (press the > key 12 times), then enter a number between [001] and [030] or select [000] to disable the delay.
Low battery notifications from sensors are not received
This is likely occurring because Wireless Device Low Battery Transmission Delay is set incorrectly.
- To verify the AC Failure Communication Delay, enter section [377] (press the > key 24 times), then set a number between 0-255 (days).
Panel tamper notifications are not received
This is likely occurring because System Tampers are disabled.
- Disable Quick Arming via section [015] option [8].

This is likely occurring because Quick arming is enabled.
- Disable Quick Arming via section [015] option [4].
