Are locks compatible with Scheduled or Temporary user codes?

If there is a compatible Z-Wave or PowerG lock enrolled on the account, the option for Scheduled and Temporary user codes appears for locks on the Alarm.com customer website and app, even if the panel is not compatible.

For more information, see Scheduled and Temporary panel user code compatibility.

Scheduled codes

Scheduled user codes allow a user code to have access to the lock during a specified time periodically every week.

Example: a scheduled user code can be given access to the lock every Monday and Wednesday between 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

Access Plan User Management

If Access Plan User Management is being used, lock access will not follow the Access Plan timetable, and users will be able to access the locks 24/7.

Personal access plans can be used to schedule lock access with Access Plan User Management, but Alarm.com does not recommend using personal access plans for accounts with Access Control securing all perimeter entrances. They will become difficult to manage, and the Access Control schedules will naturally limit when users can access interior Z-Wave locks and the panel. For more information about personal access plans, see What is a personal access plan?

Temporary codes

Temporary user codes allow a user code to have access to the lock during a specified time period.

Example: A temporary user code can be given access to the system from January 7, 2019, at 8:00 AM until January 10, 2019, at 4:00 PM. Between the specified time period, the code can lock/unlock at any time.
