Configure mobile push notification devices
Push notifications are similar to text messages. They are messages that notify the customer of any new app events without the need to keep the application open. These messages are pushed to the front of the phone so that the customer can view them without opening or closing any app. These push notifications are not saved anywhere on the customer's device, so once the message is closed, it cannot be displayed again.
Note: Based on the device in use, there may be device settings to determine how push notifications appear, sound, if they repeat, and more. Contact the device manufacturer for additional assistance.
To receive push notifications for an account, customers must enable the feature for each mobile device they would like to receive push notifications on.

Note: The Kindle Fire tablet is unable to receive push notifications.
To manage push notification devices using the Alarm.com customer website:
- Log in to the Alarm.com customer website.
- Click Notifications.
- Click Push Devices.
- Click the desired device to manage notifications for.
Note: If the push device is not displayed, verify it has been added as a push device using the Alarm.com app. - Click either of the following:
- Enable Notifications to toggle push notifications on/off for the device.
- Delete to remove the push device from the account.
- Click Save.
To add a push device using the Alarm.com app:
- Log in to the Alarm.com app from the device to receive push notifications.
- Tap

- Tap Notifications.
- Tap the Push Notifications toggle switch to turn it ON.
To configure push notifications using the Alarm.com app:
- Log in to the Alarm.com app.
- Tap

- Tap Notifications.
- Tap

- Tap the desired notification.
- In Recipients, tap Add.
- Select a device/recipient, then tap Close.
- Tap Save.
