Manually record video clips

Alarm.com customers with live video enabled can request a video device recording using the Alarm.com customer website or Alarm.com app at any time. Manually requested video clips are approximately 50-60 seconds in length, including about 10-15 seconds of footage from before the button press.

Note: The SkyBell Doorbell Camera cannot manually record clips.

Manually record video clips

Video clips can be manually recorded using the Alarm.com customer website or Alarm.com app.

Note: Taking a manual clip recording is only available using customer credentials.

  1. Log in to the Alarm.com customer website.
  2. Click Video.
  3. Mouse over the desired video device view, then click Request recording.
  4. To view recorded video clips, click Saved Video Clips.

  1. Log in to the Alarm.com app.
  2. Tap Video.
  3. On the desired video device, tap icn-play.svg.
  4. Tap Record video. 
  5. Tap Ok.
  6. To view recorded video clips, tap Saved.
