Reuse a module for a new customer
LTE and Dual-Path cellular modules can be reused for new customer accounts.
Note: Modules on the 2G or 3G network cannot be reused to activate new customer accounts. For more information, see Unable to activate 2G or 3G modules.
Options for reusing a module
The options for reusing a module on a customer account depends on the current availability of the module. For more information about finding the current status, see Verify information for an Alarm.com cellular module.
Module is attached to a customer account
If the module is attached to a customer account, the account can be recycled. For more information about recycling an account, see Recycle Account User Guide.
If a module is not going to be used for a new customer account immediately, then the account can be terminated. For more information about terminating a customer account, see Terminate a customer account.
Module is not attached to a customer account
If the module is no longer attached to a customer account, then the module can be used to create a new customer. For more information about creating a new customer, see How to Create an Alarm.com Customer Account.
