Program the master programming code on a Yale door lock
The master code for programming on a Yale door lock can be programmed using the lock's keypad. The programming method depends on whether the Yale door lock is a 300, 500, or 700 series.
Important: This master code for programming the Yale lock is different than the master code used on the Alarm.com customer website.
300 series door locks
To program the master code using a new or defaulted 300 series door lock:
- Press [1].
- Press [#] to enter master code programming.
- Enter the desired 4 to 8-digit master code.
- Press [#] to save the new master code.
Note: Some older 300 series locks had a default master code of 123456.
To update the master code using a 300 series door lock:
- Begin with the door in the locked position.
- Enter the existing master code.
- Press [#].
- Press [1].
- Press [#] to enter master code programming.
- Enter the desired 4 to 8-digit master code.
- Press [#] to save the new master code.
500 and 700 series door locks
To program the master code using a new or defaulted 500 or 700 series door lock:
- Press [1].
- Press
to enter master code programming.
- Enter the desired 4 to 8-digit master code.
- Press
to save the new master code.
