A fire-triggered unlocking rule helps your customers safely exit the home in an emergency and gives first responders immediate access to the property. If the customer account has smoke/CO sensors and at least one lock, this rule can automatically unlock a single door (e.g., the front or back door) when smoke or CO is detected or when a customer presses the fire panic button on the panel.
Important: This rule needs to be created and enabled manually on the Alarm.com customer website or Alarm.com app before it can begin to take effect.
Compatibility
Fire-triggered unlocking rules are compatible with most Alarm.com-compatible security panels and Z-Wave locks. This feature is not compatible with 2GIG GC3 panels with firmware versions 3.2.0+ at this time.
Important: If there is a manual auto-relock switch on the physical lock, verify it is switched to the off position.
