Visual Verification device selection

Visual Verification is a feature the monitoring station uses to verify a system that is in an alarm state.

The monitoring station operator can:

  • Review images and video clips captured 15 minutes before, during, and 15 minutes after the alarm.
  • View live video for 15 minutes after the alarm to verify on-site activities and determine if emergency dispatch is necessary.
  • If video devices are capable of Two-Way Audio, operators can use the feature to talk to visitors or intruders while viewing live video.

For accounts that have Visual Verification enabled, there is the option to select which devices the monitoring station uses for Visual Verification. If a device is deselected, monitoring station operators can no longer view any events from those devices or their live streams.

Note: All devices are enabled for Visual Verification when first installed, even if the device was installed and deleted in the past.
