How many thermostats can a system have?

Multiple thermostats can be enrolled or integrated into a system. The maximum number of thermostats, however, depends on the type of device.

Z-Wave thermostats

For optimal functionality, it is recommended to have no more than 5 Z-Wave thermostats per system. For Remote Temperature Sensors, there is a maximum of 10 temperature sensors on one system.

Note: For the Qolsys IQ Panel 2 with panel software version above 2.3.0+, up to 10 Z-Wave thermostats can be added to the system.

Supported panels have a maximum amount of space available for Z-Wave devices. If there are more than the recommended number of Z-Wave devices, the user may experience odd behaviors or inconsistency with the Z-Wave network. Wi-Fi thermostats

There is no limit to the number of Wi-Fi thermostats that may be integrated with Alarm.com. For more information about which Wi-Fi thermostats work with Alarm.com, see Thermostats.
