Panel requirements

  • Climax Gen1:
    • All repeaters require firmware 193e+
  • Climax Gen2:
    • All repeaters require firmware 1.2+
    • RP-29-SF1 specifically requires firmware V1.4+ and is only compatible with Gen2

Set up a device to use the repeater effectively

  1. Enroll the device in the panel.
  2. Enroll the device into the repeater, using the steps located in the installation guide.
  3. If necessary, enroll the first repeater into a secondary repeater if the path requires two repeaters. Pay close attention to the diagrams located in the installation guides
  4. Mount the device in its final location and test to make sure signals are reaching the control panel.

Additional considerations
  • For repeaters that support PIR Cams, it is not recommended to enroll more than 8 PIR Cams.
  • Repeaters and their sensors will occasionally report an "anti-masking" trouble instead of an AC-power failure. This is purely an aesthetic issue
