If the Z-Wave controller is not SmartStart or S2-compatible, this device can be enrolled in the traditional way as an S0 device.

1. Place the Z-Wave controller into Add Mode.
2. Press the A button once.

1. Remove the battery pack from the lock. 
2. Reinsert the battery pack while holding the Program button on the lock. 
3. Continue holding the Program button for 30 seconds until the lock beeps and the status LED begins to flash red. 
4. Press the Program button again. The LED will briefly alternate between red and green while the lock completes the reset process.
5. After a few seconds, the door will initiate the handing sequence to signal a successful reset. 

Handing process should happen automatically on this model when batteries first installed. If it fails, or is incorrect:

1. Remove battery pack.
2. Press and hold the Program button while reinserting the battery pack. Release the button once the battery pack is reinserted. The status LED will flash red and green.
3. Press the Program button again.
4. The latch will extend and retract to learn the orientation of the door. 
5. The LED will turn solid green for a successful handing or red for an unsuccessful handing.
