Enroll, delete, or reset an Eaton Z-Wave In-Wall On/Off Switch (RF9601)

The Eaton Z-Wave In-Wall On/Off Switch (RF9601) can be enrolled into or deleted from a Z-Wave network following the instructions below.

To enroll an Eaton Z-Wave In-Wall On/Off Switch into a Z-Wave network:

This device is only compatible with Z-Wave controllers that support Z-Wave Security 2 (S2), so it must be enrolled as an S2 device for enhanced security and encryption features.  For information about this process, see Add an S2-encrypted Z-Wave Device.

To delete an Eaton Z-Wave In-Wall On/Off Switch from a Z-Wave network:

  1. Place the Z-Wave controller into Delete Mode.
  2. Press the On/Off switch one time.
  3. The blue indicator LED on the device will start blinking when the device has been successfully deleted.

To reset an Eaton Z-Wave In-Wall On/Off Switch:

  1. Apply power to the device.
  2. Press and hold the On/Off button for 20 seconds. The indicator LED will flash three times.
  3. Release the On/Off button.
  4. The indicator LED will flash rapidly. When it slows to a steady blink, the device has been successfully reset.

Troubleshooting
