Can the LiftMaster MyQ solution control gate operators?
Yes. LiftMaster® Security+2.0™ gate operators are compatible with MyQ® technology and can be controlled through the Alarm.com customer website.
Remote control of these gate models through Alarm.com only requires the LiftMaster MyQ Internet Gateway (828LM). For information about installing the Internet Gateway, see LiftMaster MyQ Enabled Garage Door (MyQ Opener + Internet Gateway) - Installation Guide.
Important: When installing a LiftMaster gate operator, press the Learn button twice on the primary operator (the operator will beep as it enters learn mode). The LiftMaster Internet Gateway will pair to the operator if it is within range and the operator will beep if programming is successful. It can then be controlled remotely using the Alarm.com customer website and Alarm.com app.
Open or close a gate
Note: Gate Openers are not currently supported for viewing or controlling status on security panels.
To open or close a gate using the Alarm.com customer website:
- Log in to the Alarm.com customer website.
- In the Gates card, click

. - Click Open or Close.
To open or close a gate using the Alarm.com app:
- Log in to the Alarm.com app.
- Tap Gates.
- Tap Open to open the gate.
- Tap Close to close the gate.
- Tap Send to confirm the command.
