Wire a Door Position Switch to an X1100 Door Controller (ADC-AC-X1100)

A Door Position Switch on an Access Control door allows you to track the open or closed status of a door as well as relock the associated door lock instantly when the Door Position Switch returns to a closed state. It also helps you identify if a door was Forced Open (i.e., if a door has been opened without a user badging in or triggering a request-to-exit device).

The ADC-AC-X1100 offers up to four onboard inputs that can be used for a REX device or a Door Position Switch.

Door Position Switches come in many varieties. Some will often be concealed within the door frame or mounted on the surface of the door and door frame. In general, a Door Position Switch will have two wires that need to be connected to one of the input terminals on the Access Control board.
