What are the jumpers on the ADC-AC-X1100 for?

J4

Set J4 to ON during installation while the controller is not powered. Setting to ON allows normal operation and the controller's local memory database to be written.

Important: If this step is skipped, the local database will be cleared if the board experiences a drop in power or is reset.

J9 and J5

These jumpers are the end-of-line termination jumpers. J9 for expansion port 1 and J5 for expansion port 2.

Important: If either expansion port on the X1100 will be the beginning of an expansion communication bus, set that communication port's end-of-line termination jumper to IN.

Leave the jumper set to OUT only if a single communication bus is wired directly to two expansion modules. This is rare and not recommended unless required to minimize wiring.

For more information about wiring and end-of-line jumper configurations, see Wire and configure an X100 Two Reader Expansion Module (ADC-AC-X100) to an X1100 Door Controller (ADC-AC-X1100).
