PointCentral Lodgix Integration Guide
PointCentral has partnered with Lodgix to automate user code creation.
What does the integration do?
The integration exchanges information between PointCentral and Lodgix to streamline Guest code creation. Once a reservation is made in your Property Management System (PMS), this will prompt PointCentral to create a user code for the guest. The User Code is then returned to the Property Management System.
To enable the integration:
Create Administrator Login in PointCentral
- Log in to the Alarm.com customer website using a Group Administrator login.
- From the Locations page, click Users.
- Click Add a Group Login.
- In Add a Group Login, click to select Create a new login.
- Click Next.
- In the Email Address field, enter your email address.
- In the Login Name field, enter "Lodgix-" followed by your company name.
- Using the Role dropdown menu, select Administrator.
- In Group Access, select All Groups.
- Click Save.
Note: An email will be sent to your email with a link to set up a new password. Click on the link and set up the account. Click on the link and set up the password for the login. The login name and password will be entered into Lodgix for the integration.
Two-Factor Authentication
Note: Two Factor Authentication may be a requirement upon logging into the Property Manager Portal and setting the login password. Two Factor Authentication is not supported for integration logins. If Two Factor Authentication setup was a requirement upon setup, follow the below steps prior to using the login in the external software.
To remove Two-Factor Authentication:
- Log in to the Property Manager Portal with the integration login.
- Click Settings.
- Click Login Information.
- Click Two-Factor Authentication.
- Click
next to any of the enabled Two-Factor Authentication methods.
- Log out of the Property Manager Portal.
- Wait 10 minutes prior to using the login for any external software connection to PointCentral.
- Do not use the integration login to log in to the Property Manager Portal again as this may require the user to set up two factor authentication again. If this happens, the above steps must be repeated.
Contact Lodgix for steps on how to enable the integration and map the locations
Contact the Lodgix support team at support@lodgix.com for next steps on enabling the integration within Lodgix and syncing the properties between software.
Lodgix has a built-in Fetch Properties function that can be used to help sync properties based on similar names. Manual edits/additional entries can then be added if the properties are not all synced.
