Remove a video device

Most Alarm.com video devices (e.g., cameras, Video Servers, SVRs, etc.) can be removed from an account using the Alarm.com app or Alarm.com customer website.

Note: Saved clips from the video device are still available on the Alarm.com app and Alarm.com customer website.

Remove a video device from an account

Caution: Once the device is removed, all recording rules associated with the video device will be removed from the account.

All footage from the video device will also removed from the SVR's hard drive.

  1. Log into the Alarm.com app.
  2. Tap Menu
  3. Tap Manage Devices.
  4. Tap More next to the desired video device.
  5. In Actions, tap Delete.
  6. Tap Delete.
  1. Log into the Alarm.com customer website.
  2. Click Settings.
  3. Click Manage Devices.
  4. Click More next to the desired video device.
  5. Click Remove Device.
  6. Click Remove.
