Change the name of a mobile device
The name of a mobile push notification device can be updated using the Alarm.com app or Alarm.com customer website.
Device names are shared across push and Geo-Devices, and can be updated simultaneously.
Note: On mobile, this feature requires iOS version 5.12.1+ or Android version 5.9.2+.
Change the name of a mobile device
The name of a mobile device can be changed using the Alarm.com app or Alarm.com customer website.
To change the name of a mobile device using the Alarm.com app:
- Log in to the Alarm.com app.
- Tap

- Tap App Settings.
- Tap Device Name.
- Enter the desired name for the mobile device.
To change the name of a mobile device using the Alarm.com customer website:
- Log in to the Alarm.com customer website.
- Click Settings.
- Click Manage Devices.
- In Mobile Devices, click the desired mobile device.
- Enter the desired name for the mobile device.
- Click OK.
