Change a login name

Login names can be changed on the Alarm.com app and Alarm.com customer website.

Note: If the message Login name is invalid is received when attempting to change a login name, the new login name may already be in use. 

To change a login name using the Alarm.com app:

  1. Log into the Alarm.com app.
  2. Tap icn-menu.svg.
  3. Tap Login Information.
  4. Tap Login Name.
  5. Enter the new login name in the Login Name field.
  6. In the Current Password field, enter your current password.
  7. Tap Save.

Note: If unable to change the login name, contact your service provider.

To change a login name using the Alarm.com customer website:

  1. Log into the Alarm.com customer website.
  2. Click Settings.
  3. Click Login Information.
  4. Click Login Name.
  5. Enter the new login name in the Login Name field.
  6. In the Current Password field, enter your current password.
  7. Click Save.

Note: If unable to change the login name, contact your service provider.
