Configure Alarm.com Places
Alarm.com Places lets you be more connected to your home. With Alarm.com Places, you can automate home settings and initiate additional notifications based on the location of your iPhone or Android phone relative to your home, office, or any other Geo-Fence you specify.
Permission requirements
The following login permissions are able to configure the Alarm.com Places feature:
- Master Control
- Full Control
- Custom with Notification Settings enabled
To configure Alarm.com Places:
- Enable Alarm.com Places on one or more phones. For information about how to add a Geo-Device, see Add a new Geo-Device.
- View and manage Geo-Fences on the Alarm.com customer website. For information about how to add or edit Geo-Fences, see Create/edit a Geo-Fence.
Note: The default Geo-Fence is the address of your system's installation location. The minimum Geo-Fence radius is 1 mile (1.6 kilometers), and the maximum is 100 miles (160 kilometers). If your account is in Canada, the minimum radius is 1.5 kilometers and the maximum is 150 kilometers. - Set up the desired Alarm.com Places rules or notifications.
