Enable/disable Thermostat Lock

The Thermostat Lock option locks all physical control of the thermostat so that it can only be changed from a computer or mobile device. A partial lock allows setpoint changes, but prevents mode changes on the thermostat.

To enable or disable the Thermostat Lock using the Alarm.com app:

  1. Log into the Alarm.com app.
  2. Tap Thermostats.
  3. Tap Configure
    • If there are multiple thermostats enrolled in your system, tap the name of the desired device.
  4. Tap Device Settings.
  5. In Thermostat Lock, tap the current setting.
  6. In the Thermostat Lock pop up, tap to select the desired setting:
    • Disabled mode indicates setpoint changes can be made from the thermostat, Alarm.com customer website or Alarm.com app.
    • Enabled mode indicates setpoint changes can only be made from the Alarm.com customer website or Alarm.com app.
    • Partial indicates setpoint changes can be made from the thermostat, Alarm.com customer website or Alarm.com app. Mode changes can only be made from the Alarm.com customer website or Alarm.com app.
  7. Tap Select.
  8. Tap Apply.
