Smart Home Skill - Change a device name in Amazon Alexa

To change the device name on the Amazon Alexa app:

Note: Updating a name within the Amazon Alexa app does not update the device name on Alarm.com.

1. Open the Amazon Alexa app.
2. Tap .
3. Tap All Devices.
4. Tap the device you would like the rename.
5. Perform either of the following depending on the device:
   • Tap Edit Name for most devices.
   • Tap  and then Edit Name for some Z-Wave devices.
6. Enter a new name.
7. Tap Done on the keyboard or tap a different area of the screen.
