Create/edit an Opened Unexpectedly notification

An Opened Unexpectedly notification can notify users if the system was disarmed after closing hours and before arrival hours.

Important: Business hours must be defined and enabled in order to receive Early/off hours event notifications. For more information about business hours, see Enable/configure business hours.

Create/edit an Opened Unexpectedly notification

  1. Log into the Alarm.com app.
  2. Tap Menu.
  3. Tap Notifications.
  4. Tap Settings.
  5. To edit the notification, tap Opened Unexpectedly.
  6. If the notification has not been created:
    1. Tap Add.
    2. Tap Use A Template.
    3. In Business, tap Opened Unexpectedly.
  7. Name the notification rule.
  8. In When the selected events occur, select the events to receive notifications about.
  9. To choose notification recipients, tap Add.
  10. Tap the entries in Address Book to be notified, or tap Add Contact to add a new Address Book entry.
  11. Tap Close.
  12. Verify the notification is configured with the correct settings.
  13. Tap Save.
  1. Log into the Alarm.com customer website.
  2. Click Notifications.
  3. To edit the notification, click Edit for the Opened Unexpectedly notification.
  4. If the notification has not been created:
    1. Click New Notification.
    2. Click to select Business.
    3. Click Opened Unexpectedly.
  5. Name the notification rule.
  6. Select Opened Unexpectedly.
  7. To choose notification recipients, click Add.
  8. Click the entries in Address Book to be notified, or click New to add a new Address Book entry.
  9. Click Close.
  10. Verify the notification is configured with the correct settings.
  11. Click Save.
