Create/edit an Alarm reported notification
An Alarm reported notification can notify users if there has been an alarm event at the property.
Create/edit an Alarm reported notification
Alarm reported notifications can be created/edited using the Alarm.com app or Alarm.com customer website.
To create/edit an Alarm reported notification using the Alarm.com app:
- Log into the Alarm.com app.
- Tap

- Tap Notifications.
- Tap

- To edit the notification, tap to select the Alarm reported notification.
- If the notification has not been created:
- Tap
.
- Tap Use A Template.
- In Business, tap Alarm reported.
- Tap
- Name the notification rule.
- In When Alarm of type, select Audible, Silent, or both.
- In Is reported by, select Any Sensor unless a specific sensor is to be monitored.
Caution: Do not choose to send a Duress Panic SMS or push notification to a potential Duress Code user. - Tap Add.
- Tap the entries in Address Book to be notified, or tap Add Contact to add a new Address Book entry.
- Tap Close.
- Verify the notification is configured with the correct settings.
- Tap Save.
To create/edit an Alarm reported notification using the Alarm.com customer website:
- Log into the Alarm.com customer website.
- Click Notifications.
- To edit the notification, click
for the alarm reported notification.
- If the notification has not been created:
- Click New Notification.
- Click to select Business.
- Click Alarm reported.
- Name the notification rule.
- In When Alarm of type, select the alarm types to receive notifications about.
- In Is reported by, select Any Sensor unless a specific sensor is to be monitored.
Caution: Do not choose to send a Duress Panic SMS or push notification to a potential Duress Code user. - To choose notification recipients, click Add.
- Click the entries in Address Book to be notified, or click +New to add a new Address Book entry.
- Click Close.
- Verify the notification is configured with the correct settings.
- Click Save.
