Rename a Z-Wave device
Z-Wave device names can be updated via the following methods and steps.
Note: Only the Qolsys IQ Panel and the Qolsys IQ Panel 2 can update locally renamed Z-Wave devices to be seen remotely.
Rename a Z-Wave device
To rename a Z-Wave device using the Alarm.com customer website:
- Log in to the Alarm.com customer website.
- Click Settings.
- Click Manage Devices.
- Click
next to the device to rename. - Click Rename Device.
- Enter the desired name for the Z-Wave device.
- Click Ok.
To rename a Z-Wave device using the Alarm.com app:
- Log in to the Alarm.com app.
- Tap
. - Tap Manage Devices.
- Tap next to the device to rename.
- Tap Rename Device.
- Enter the desired name for the Z-Wave device.
- Tap Ok.
