Enroll, delete, or reset a Zooz Z-Wave Motion Sensor (ZSE18)
The Zooz Z-Wave Motion Sensor (ZSE18) can be enrolled into or deleted from a Z-Wave network following the instructions below.

To enroll a Zooz Z-Wave Motion Sensor (ZSE18):
As a SmartStart device:
It is recommended to enroll this device as a SmartStart device to eliminate the need to put Z-Wave controllers into Add Mode or to trigger devices (as is the case when enrolling non-SmartStart S2 devices).

As an S2 device:
If the Z-Wave controller is not SmartStart-compatible, it is recommended to enroll this device as an S2 device for enhanced security and encryption features.

As an S0 device:
If the Z-Wave controller is not SmartStart or S2-compatible, this device can be enrolled in the traditional way as an S0 device.
- Place the Z-Wave controller into Add Mode.
- Activating the battery will automatically put the sensor into inclusion mode. If it’s not added within 30 seconds, try resetting it and including it manually.
- For manual inclusion, press and release the Z-Wave® button 3 times quickly. The LED indicator will start blinking fast and turn solid for a second to confirm inclusion.
To delete a Zooz Z-Wave Motion Sensor (ZSE18):
- Place the Z-Wave controller into Delete Mode.
- Press and release the Z-Wave® button on the sensor 3 times as quickly as possible.
- Your hub will confirm exclusion and the device will disappear from your controller's device list.
To reset a Zooz Z-Wave Motion Sensor (ZSE18):
- Press and hold the Z-Wave® button on the sensor for at least 20 seconds.
- The LED indicator will flash, stay solid, and then turn off to confirm factory reset.
