Enroll, delete, or reset a Zooz Z-Wave Long Range Outdoor Smart Plug (ZEN05)

The Zooz Z-Wave Long Range Outdoor Smart Plug (ZEN05) can be enrolled in or deleted from a Z-Wave network following the instructions below.

To enroll a Zooz Long Range Outdoor Smart Plug

As a SmartStart device:

It is recommended to enroll this device as a SmartStart device to eliminate the need to put Z-Wave controllers into Add Mode or to trigger devices (as is the case when enrolling non-SmartStart S2 devices).

As an S2 device:

If the Z-Wave controller is not SmartStart-compatible, it is recommended to enroll this device as an S2 device for enhanced security and encryption features.

As an S0 device:

If the Z-Wave controller is not SmartStart or S2-compatible, this device can be enrolled in the traditional way as an S0 device.

  1. Plug in the Zooz ZEN05.
  2. Put the Z-Wave controller into Add mode.
  3. Press the Z-Wave button on the Zooz ZEN05 three times quickly. The LED will begin flashing blue in inclusion mode.
  4. When successfully enrolled, the LED will turn green for one second. 

To delete a Zooz Long Range Outdoor Smart Plug

  1. Verify the Zooz ZEN05 is plugged in and has power.
  2. Put the Z-Wave controller into Delete mode.
  3. Press the Z-Wave button on the Zooz ZEN05 three times quickly.

To reset a Zooz Long Range Outdoor Smart Plug

  1. Verify the Zooz ZEN05 is plugged in and has power.
  2. Press the Z-Wave button on the Zooz ZEN05 three times quickly, holding the third press in for 10 seconds.
  3. The LED will flash green three times when successfully reset.

Troubleshooting

The Z-Wave device is not enrolling
