An SVR must format its hard drive before it can record video. The steps include verifying that the SVR firmware is up to date, using the Customer website to access Drive Management and reformat or reseat the hard drive, and trying a different drive slot if available. If formatting still fails, the process involves deleting the SVR from the account, performing a factory reset
