A Video Analytics recorded clip is always approximately 30 seconds regardless of what the camera-triggered clip length setting is set to.
Note: Video Analytics clips for the ADC-VDB780B are the exception to this, and will be 20 seconds long. For more information about Video Analytics, see Configure a Video Analytics recording rule.
Adjust the camera-triggered clip length setting
To adjust the camera-triggered clip length setting using the Alarm.com app:
Log in to the Alarm.com app.
Tap .
Tap .
Tap the desired camera.
Tap Video.
Tap Clip Length Settings.
Using the Camera-Triggered Clip Length dropdown menu, tap to select the desired camera-triggered clip length.
Note: Video Analytics clips are approximately 30 seconds long. The clip length is not affected by the Camera-triggered clip length setting. For specific video devices, the Camera-triggered clip length dropdown menu may not be available.
Tap Save.
To adjust the camera-triggered clip length using the Alarm.com customer website:
Log in to the Alarm.com customer website.
Click Video.
Click Settings.
Select the desired video device.
Click Video.
In Recorded Video Settings, click Clip Length Settings.
Using the Camera-triggered clip length dropdown menu, select the video clip length for camera-triggered clips. The clip length options vary between video device models, and clip length can be affected by file size. More complex images/images with above-average movement may be shorter than simple/static images.
Note: Video Analytics clips are approximately 30 seconds long. The clip length is not affected by the Camera-triggered clip length setting. For specific video devices, the Camera-triggered clip length dropdown menu may not be available.
