Panel Keypad Tamper

The Panel Keypad Tamper trouble indicates that the panel has registered too many consecutive invalid user code entries at the keypad. The exact number of failed attempts that triggers this trouble varies by panel model and may be configurable in panel programming.

If this behavior is occurring on a SEM, see the panel-specific guide:

How to resolve:

  1. Consult the manufacturer’s documentation or contact their technical support for more information about why the trouble occurred, how to clear it, and how to adjust keypad tamper settings (if available and desired).
  2. Power cycle the panel. For most panels, this will clear panel keypad tampers.
  3. If power cycling does not resolve the behavior, wait until the lockout time expires.
