| Factory Reset |
When the lock is reset to factory defaults, all user codes (including the Master code*) are deleted and all PIN programming features are reset to original default settings (see below).
Upon reset, Master Code creation is the only option PIN available and must be performed prior to any other programming of the lock. |
| Handing Process |
When the batteries are properly inserted for the first time, or after a factory reset, the lock will attempt to determine its handing - whether the lock is installed on the door or not. If the lock is not completely installed on the door, it could hand itself incorrectly. Should this occur, the lock must be installed on the door and then reset to its factory defaults, allowing the lock to "hand" itself correctly. |
