Yale Assure Touchscreen Deadbolt (YRD256)

To place the lock in Enroll Mode:

1. Enter the master code, followed by a press of the [⚙ Gear Button].
2. Press [7], followed by the [⚙ Gear Button].
3. Press [1], followed by the [⚙ Gear Button].

To place the lock in Delete Mode:

1. Enter the master code, followed by a press of the [⚙ Gear Button].
2. Press [7], followed by the [⚙ Gear Button].
3. Press [3], followed by the [⚙ Gear Button].

When the lock is reset to factory defaults, all user codes (including the Master code*) are deleted and all PIN programming features are reset to original default settings (see below). 

1. Remove the battery cover and batteries.
2. Remove the interior escutcheon to access the reset button.
3. The reset button is located beside the PCB cable connector.
4. While pressing the reset button (minimum of 3 seconds) reinstall batteries. Release reset button.
5. Replace battery cover.

Upon reset, Master Code creation is the only option PIN available and must be performed prior to any other programming of the lock.

When the batteries are properly inserted for the first time, or after a factory reset, the lock will attempt to determine its handing - whether the lock is installed on the door or not. If the lock is not completely installed on the door, it could hand itself incorrectly. Should this occur, the lock must be installed on the door and then reset to its factory defaults, allowing the lock to "hand" itself correctly.
