Change the Wi-Fi network settings of a Genie Aladdin or OHD Anywhere garage device

If the customer's router is replaced or the Wi-Fi password is changed, the Wi-Fi network settings for the customer's Genie Aladdin or OHD Anywhere garage devices will need to be re-configured.  

To change the Wi-Fi network information for a Genie Aladdin or OHD Anywhere device:

  1. Locate the Wi-Fi button on the device.
    • On the Genie Aladdin Retrofit, the Wi-Fi button is black. 
    • On the Genie Aladdin or OHD Anywhere Wi-Fi openers, the Wi-Fi button is blue. 
  2. Press the Wi-Fi button on the side of the door controller until the device beeps. After
    about 10 seconds, the light in the upper right corner of the door controller should turn
    yellow.
  3. Connect your smartphone/tablet to the gdocntl Wi-Fi network.
  4. Open http://192.168.1.1 in your web browser and follow the on screen instructions to connect the device to a network.
  5. Verify the device is online.
    1. Open and close the garage door twice from the wall button or car remote.
    2. Verify that the device's Wi-Fi LED is solid green.
