View the connected Wi-Fi frequency of a video device

Some camera models can see the frequency of their connected Wi-Fi networks. You can view the frequency (i.e., whether the Wi-Fi band is 2.4GHz or 5GHz) of the network your cameras are connected to using the Alarm.com app and Alarm.com customer website.

View the Wi-Fi network frequency of a video device

  1. Log into the Alarm.com app.
  2. Tap Video
  3. Tap Configure.
  4. Tap the desired video device. 
  5. Tap the online status card or Network to view the Wi-Fi network frequency.

  1. Log into the Alarm.com customer website.
  2. Click Video.
  3. Click Settings.
  4. Using the Video Device dropdown menu, select the desired video device.
  5. Click Wireless Network.
  6. In Current Network, the frequency appears in parentheses (e.g., MyNetworkName (WPA2, 2.4GHz)).
