Change a video device name
Video device names can be customized for easier system management and camera identification using the Alarm.com app, or Alarm.com customer website.
Change a video device name
Note: Camera names can have a maximum of 16 characters each.
Alarm.com app
- Log in to the Alarm.com app.
- Tap
. - Tap Manage Devices.
- In Video Devices, tap
. - Tap
. - In the Rename Device field, enter the new name.
- Tap Ok.
Alarm.com customer website
- Log in to the Alarm.com customer website.
- Click Video.
- Click Settings.
- Select the desired video device.
- Next to the device's current name, click .
- In the Device Name field, enter the new name.
- Click Save.
