Configure Video for Apple TV

The for Apple TV app brings a video-focused user experience to the TV. Users can view all of the cameras on the high-definition screen on a user interface optimized for use from the couch. Up to four simultaneous streams can be viewed on the screen at one time. If a user has more than four streams, the feeds will rotate out every 10, 20, or 30 seconds, depending on the user's preferences.

  • The for Apple TV app requires tvOS 11.0 or later.
  • Almost all cameras, with the exception of doorbell cameras, can be viewed through the Apple TV app.
  • The Apple TV app supports streaming live video directly from compatible cameras.
  • Third-party cameras can be viewed on Apple TV but will time out after 10 minutes.
  • The Apple TV app does not support Two-Way Audio.
Note: Apple TV does not support Two-Way Audio. When port forwarding a device that has Two-Way Audio while using Apple TV, disable the microphone and speaker for the camera.
