Control ADC-V610PT pan/tilt cameras using position presets
Alarm.com pan/tilt cameras have the ability to save a variety of position presets. Pan/tilt cameras can have 20 presets in addition to the Home preset. If the ADC-V610PT has firmware version 108a+, the camera returns to the Home pan/tilt preset after ten minutes of inactivity.
Pan/tilt cameras do not have guard tour or continuous pan functionality, but users do have the option to point the camera to position presets when a specific event takes place.
Example: If the front door is opened, the camera can pan to the front door and record. To create or edit position presets for pan/tilt cameras:
- Log in to the Alarm.com customer website.
- Click Video.
- Click Settings.
- Select the desired pan/tilt device.
- Click Video.
- Click Pan/Tilt Settings.
- Click
for a current preset (e.g., Home) to edit current presets, or click Create New to create new presets. - Click the arrows on the edge of the Live View image to adjust the camera's position.
- Enter the desired preset name in the Preset name field.
- Click Save.
Note: Presets can only be updated using the Alarm.com customer website. The Alarm.com app only has the ability to move the current position of pan/tilt cameras.
Control a pan/tilt camera's current position to a preset
A pan/tilt camera's current position can be changed to a preset the Alarm.com customer website and the Alarm.com app.
To control a pan/tilt camera's current position to a preset using the Alarm.com customer website:
- Log in to the Alarm.com customer website.
- Click Video.
- Find the desired pan/tilt camera.
- Click
to open the Pan/Tilt Preset menu. - Click to select the preset to adjust the camera's position.
To control a pan/tilt camera's current position to a preset using the Alarm.com app:
- Log in to the Alarm.com app.
- Tap Video.
- Tap
on the desired pan/tilt camera view. - Tap to open the Pan/Tilt Preset menu.
- Tap to select the preset to adjust the camera's position.
To create an event-triggered recording rule that moves to a preset:
- Log in to the Alarm.com customer website.
- Click Video.
- Click Recording Rules.
- Click Add New Rule.
- In the New Video Recording Rule menu, click to select an event-triggered rule type (e.g., Sensor Opened or Closed, System Armed or Disarmed, Entry Delay, etc.).
- Enter a name for the new Event Triggered Recording Rule.
- Configure the recording rule as desired.
- Click to select the desired time frame for the rule to be active.
- Click to select the desired video devices.
- For the ADC-V610PT cameras, click to select Move To.
- Using the Move to dropdown menu, select the pan/tilt preset.
- To select the recipients to be notified when this recording rule is triggered, click Add.
- Click Save Rule.
