Create/edit warning light Schedules for the 4MP Outdoor Floodlight Camera (ADC-V729/V729AC/VC729P)

Customers can create warning light schedules to notify unexpected visitors and indicate to would-be criminals that they are being monitored. These schedules can be created using the Alarm.com customer website or Alarm.com app.

Important: Warning light schedules are only available for customers with commercial video service packages or the Premium Video service package. The capability is not available for customers using Pro Video Analytics 3,000 or Pro Video. See the Service Package/Add-On section or more information.

Create a warning light schedule

Warning light schedules can be created using the Alarm.com app or Alarm.com customer website.

  1. Log in to the Alarm.com app.
  2. Tap  icn-menu.svg.  
  3. Tap Automation.
  4. Tap icn-add.svg .
  5. Tap New Schedule.
  6. In Type Schedule Name Here, enter a name for the schedule. 
  7. Tap When to select the time the schedule should run. 
    • In Time, tap to select an available time for the scheduled action to run. 
      • Sunrise - This will begin the schedule at sunrise for the selected days. The time is determined by the location of the system.
      • Sunset - This will begin the schedule at sunset for the selected days. The time is determined by the location of the system.
      • Specific Time - This will begin the schedule at a specific designated time for the selected days. Selecting this will open a series of dropdown menus to select the desired time.
    • In Occurrence, tap to select one of the following options:
      • Always will occur every day.
      • Specific Days will occur on the selected days of the week.
    • Verify the selection, then tap Next.
  8. Tap Then to select the devices and action.
    • Tap to select Warning Light
    • Select the specific devices.
    • In Status, select the action that will occur. 
      • Turn On Red And Blue - This will cause the camera to flash red and blue
      • Turn On Red Only - This will cause only the red light to turn on
      • Turn On Blue Only - This will cause only the blue light to turn on
      • Turn Off - This will turn off any camera lights that were turned on
    • Verify the selection, then tap Next
  9. Verify the schedule is configured with the correct settings.
  10. Tap Save.
  1. Log in to the Alarm.com customer website. 
  2. Click Automation.
  3. Click Schedules
  4. Click Add New Schedule.
  5. If prompted, click New Schedule Builder
  6. In Type Schedule Name Here, enter a name for the schedule. 
  7. Click When to select the time the schedule should run. 
    1. In Time, click to select an available time for the scheduled action to run. 
      • Sunrise - This will begin the schedule at sunrise for the selected days. The time is determined by the location of the system.
      • Sunset - This will begin the schedule at sunset for the selected days. The time is determined by the location of the system.
      • Specific Time - This will begin the schedule at a specific designated time for the selected days. Selecting this will open a series of dropdown menus to select the desired time.
    2. In Occurrence, click to select one of the following options:

    • Select the specific devices.
    • In Status, select the action that will occur.

      • Turn Off - This will turn off any camera lights that were turned on
    • Verify the selection, then click Next
  9. Verify the schedule is configured with the correct settings.
  10. Click Save.

Frequently asked questions

Is it possible to control the flashing speed of the warning light?

No. 

Will event-triggered rules override the warning light schedule?

Yes. Event-triggered rules such as Perimeter Guard®, Manually Triggered Warning Sounds, or Alarm Triggered Warning Sounds will override the created warning light schedule.
