Enroll, delete, or reset an Aidoo Z-Wave Plus Thermostat
The Aidoo Z-Wave Plus Thermostat can be enrolled into or deleted from a Z-Wave network following the instructions below.
For more information about installing a Aidoo Z-Wave Plus Thermostat, see Aidoo Z-Wave Plus Thermostat - Installation Guide.
To enroll a Aidoo Z-Wave Plus Thermostat:
As a SmartStart device:
It is recommended to enroll this device as a SmartStart device to eliminate the need to put Z-Wave controllers into Add Mode or to trigger devices (as is the case when enrolling non-SmartStart S2 devices).
For information about SmartStart compatibility and the enrollment process, see Add or remove a Z-Wave SmartStart-enabled device.
As an S2 device:
If the Z-Wave controller is not SmartStart-compatible, it is recommended to enroll this device as an S2 device for enhanced security and encryption features.
For information about this process, see Add an S2-encrypted Z-Wave device.
As an S0 device:
If the Z-Wave controller is not SmartStart or S2-compatible, this device can be enrolled in the traditional way as an S0 device.
- Place the Z-Wave controller into Add Mode.
- Press the S button.
- Once successfully added, the communication LED will light up solid red.
To reset and delete a Aidoo Z-Wave Plus Thermostat:
The Aidoo Z-Wave Plus can be reset to its factory settings. This will reset all HVAC settings, rules, and schedules. It will also delete the Aidoo Z-Wave Plus from the Z-Wave network.
To factory reset, press the Factory Reset button (gray recessed button on the top of the Aidoo Z-Wave Plus) for 10 seconds or until all LEDs on the front of the device blink simultaneously.
