The Shelly Wave 2PM can be enrolled into or deleted from a Z-Wave network following the instructions below.

To enroll a Shelly Wave 2PM:

This device can be enrolled using the method as a SmartStart, S2, or S0 device. 

It is recommended to enroll this device as a SmartStart device to eliminate the need to put Z-Wave controllers into Add Mode or to trigger devices (as is the case when enrolling non-SmartStart S2 devices).

If the Z-Wave controller is not SmartStart-compatible, it is recommended to enroll this device as an S2 device for enhanced security and encryption features.

If the Z-Wave controller is not SmartStart or S2-compatible, this device can be enrolled in the traditional way as an S0 device using an attached switch/power button or using the S button. 

To enroll using an attached switch/power button:
  1. Verify the device is connected to power.
  2. Verify the blue LED is blinking in Mode 1. If so, the device is not added to a Z-Wave network.
  3. Place the Z-Wave controller into Add Mode.
  4. Toggle the switch/power button three times within 3 seconds. 
  5. The blue LED will blink in Mode 2 (0.5s on, 0.5s off) during the inclusion process.
  6. The green LED will blink in Mode 1 (0.5s On, 2s Off) when the device is successfully added to the Z-Wave® network.
To enroll using the S button: 
  1. Verify the device is connected to power and the blue LED is blinking in Mode 1. If so, the device is not added to a Z-Wave network.
  2. Place the Z-Wave controller into Add Mode.
  3. Quickly press and hold the S button on the Device until the LED turns solid blue.
  4. Quickly release and then press and hold (> 2s) the S button on the Device until the blue LED starts blinking in Mode 3. Releasing the S button will start the Learn mode.
  5. The blue LED will blink in Mode 2 (0.5s on, 0.5s off) during the inclusion process.
  6. The green LED will blink in Mode 1 (0.5s On, 2s Off) when the device is successfully added to the Z-Wave® network.

To delete a Shelly Wave 2PM:

This device can be deleted using an attached switch/power button or using the S button. 

  1. Place the Z-Wave controller into Delete Mode.
  2. Toggle the attached switch on and off three times within 3 seconds. 
  3. The LED will blink during the exclusion process.
  4. The attached load will be toggled on and off twice when the device is successfully removed from the Z-Wave network
  1. Place the Z-Wave controller into Delete Mode.
  2. Toggle the attached switch on and off three times within 3 seconds.
  3. Press and hold the S button until the LED turns solid blue.
  4. Release, then press and hold the S button for at least 2 seconds.
  5. Release the S button when the LED begins rapidly flashing.

To reset a Shelly Wave 2PM:

This device can be reset using an attached switch/power button or using the S button. 

  1. Ensure the device has power.
  2. Verify the device is connected to power.
  3. Toggle the attached switch/power button on and off five times within 3 seconds.
  4. During the reset the LED will turn solid green for about 1 second, then the red and blue LED will blink for about 2 seconds.
  5. The blue LED will blink if the factory reset is successful.
  1. Ensure the device has power.
  2. Press and hold the S button until the LED turns solid blue.
  3. Press the S button multiple times, until the LED turns solid red.
  4. Release, then press and hold the S button for at least 2 seconds.
  5. Release the S button when the red LED begins rapidly flashing.
  6. During the reset, the LED will turn solid green for about 1 second, then the red and blue LED will blink for about 2 seconds.
  7. The blue LED will blink if the factory reset is successful.

Troubleshooting

The Z-Wave device is not enrolling
