Configure notification recipients

Recipients must be added to each notification the user wants to receive. There is no limit to the number of recipients that can be added to receive a notification.

Configure notification recipients

Notification recipients can be configured using the Alarm.com app or Alarm.com customer website.

  1. Log into the Alarm.com app. 
  2. Tap menu.  
  3. Tap Notifications.
  4. Tap Settings.
  5. Tap Addto create a new notification, or tap an existing notification to update. 
  6. To choose notification recipients, tap Add.
  7. Tap to select the entries in the Address Book to be notified, or tap Add Contact to add a new Address Book entry.
     
    Note: If a notification recipient does not have the desired method of communication listed (e.g., phone, email, SMS), it can be added to their user profile. 
     
  8. Once all desired recipients are selected, tap Close.
  9. Verify all recipients are correct.
  10. Tap Save
  1. Log into the Alarm.com customer website. 
  2. Click Notifications.
  3. Click New Notification to create a new notification, or click edit for an existing notification to update. 
  4. To choose notification recipients, click Add.
  5. Click to select the entries in the Address Book to be notified, or click New to add a new Address Book entry.
     
    Note: If a notification recipient does not have the desired method of communication listed (e.g., phone, email, SMS), it can be added to their user profile. For more information, see Add a mobile phone number to receive SMS notifications.
     
  6. Once all desired recipients are selected, click Close.
  7. Verify all recipients are correct.
  8. Click Save.

Remove recipients from a notification

Recipients can be removed from a notification using the Alarm.com app or Alarm.com customer website.

  1. Log into the Alarm.com app. 
  2. Tap Menu
  3. Tap Notifications.
  4. Tap Settings.
  5. Tap to select the notification to edit.
  6. In Recipients, tap Delete to remove the desired notification recipient. 
  7. Tap Save
  1. Log into the Alarm.com customer website.
  2. Click Notifications
  3. Click Edit on the notification to edit.
  4. In Recipients, click Delete to remove the desired notification recipient. 
  5. Click Save.
