New Schedule Builder Overview
Supported schedules
- Light
- Color Light
- Shade
- One-time scheduled Scene on a specific date
Note: Specific date schedules are only available for Scenes.
Create an automation schedule using the New Schedule Builder
Creating automation schedules using the New Schedule Builder can be completed using the Alarm.com app or Alarm.com customer website.
To create automation schedules using the Alarm.com app:
- Log in to the Alarm.com app.
- Tap

- Tap Automation.
- Tap
.
- Tap New Schedule.
- In Type Schedule Name Here, enter a name for the schedule.
- Tap When to select the time the schedule should run.
- In Time, tap to select an available time for the scheduled action to run.
- Sunrise - This will begin the schedule at sunrise for the selected days. The time is determined by the location of the system.
- Sunset - This will begin the schedule at sunset for the selected days. The time is determined by the location of the system.
- Specific Time - This will begin the schedule at a specific designated time for the selected days. Selecting this will open a series of dropdown menus to select the desired time.
- In Occurrence, tap to select one of the following options that may be available:
- Always will occur every day.
- Specific Days will occur on the selected days of the week.
- Specific Date will occur one time on a selected date.
- This option is only available for Scenes.
- Verify the selection, then tap Next.
- In Time, tap to select an available time for the scheduled action to run.
- Tap Then to select the devices and action.
- Select the type of device to schedule (i.e., Scene, Light/Switch).
- Select the specific devices or Scene.
- In Status, select the action that will occur.
- Verify the selection, then tap Next.
- If time adjustments are desired:
- Tap the second condition card for exact or approximate time selection. (e.g., Run At Exact Times, Exactly At Sunrise, etc.).
- If Specific Time was selected for When, tap Run at approximate times to give or take about 45 minutes to the entire schedule.
- If Sunrise or Sunset was selected for When, use the Time Offset dropdown menu to select the amount of time before or after sunset or sunrise.
- Tap Done.
- If a second action is desired:
- Tap Add Follow Up Action.
- In Time, select when the follow-up action should occur and then tap Next.
- Verify the schedule is configured with the correct settings.
- Tap Save.
To create automation schedules using the Alarm.com customer website:
- Log in to the Alarm.com customer website.
- Click Automation.
- Click Schedules.
- Click Add New Schedule.
- If prompted, click New Schedule Builder.
- In Type Schedule Name Here, enter a name for the schedule.
- Click When to select the time the schedule should run.
- In Time, click to select an available time for the scheduled action to run.
- Sunrise - This will begin the schedule at sunrise for the selected days. The time is determined by the location of the system.
