Open/close a Garage Door

In addition to local control, garage doors can be opened remotely using the Alarm.com app or Alarm.com app.

Open or close a garage door

  1. Log in to Alarm.com app.
  2. Tap Garage Doors.
    • Tap Open to open the garage door.
    • Tap Close to close the garage door.
  3. Tap Send to confirm your command.
  1. Log in to the Alarm.com customer website.
  2. On the garage card, click icn-garage-open.svg or icn-garage-closed.svg.
  3. Click Open or Close.

Troubleshooting

If Alarm.com app and/or Alarm.com customer website is not operating the garage door, see Remote commands are not opening or closing the garage door.
