Create a Car Event Alert notification

This notification alerts users of important concerns, such as diagnostic issues, low car battery, and malfunction alerts.

Create a Car Event Alert notification

  1. Log into the Alarm.com app.
  2. Tap Menu.
  3. Tap Notifications.
  4. Tap Settings.
  5. TapAdd.
  6. Tap to expand Use A Template.
  7. In Cars, tap to select Car Event Alert.
  8. Enter the desired name for the new notification rule.
  9. In When these cars, click to select if Any Car or a Specific Car should trigger the notification.
  10. Tap to select which events should be reported. Events include:
    • Low car battery
    • Car Connector is not responding
    • Car Connector is hibernating
    • Car Connector was unplugged
    • Car Connector was plugged in
    • Diagnostic issue reported
    • Low fuel
  11. In Recipients, tap Add to choose notification recipients.
  12. Tap the entries in the Address book to be notified, or tap Add Contact to add a new Address Book entry.
  13. Tap Close.
  14. Verify the notification is configured with the correct settings.
  15. Tap Save.

  2. Click Notifications.
  3. Click New Notification.
  4. Click Cars.
  5. Click Car Event Alert.
  6. Enter the desired name for the new notification rule.

  9. In Recipients, click Add to choose notification recipients.

  11. Click Close.

  13. Click Save.
