Enroll, delete, or reset a Zooz Water Sensor (ZSE42)
The Zooz Water Sensor (ZSE42) can be enrolled into or deleted from a Z-Wave network following the instructions below.

To enroll a Zooz Water Sensor (ZSE42):
As a SmartStart device:
It is recommended to enroll this device as a SmartStart device to eliminate the need to put Z-Wave controllers into Add Mode or to trigger devices (as is the case when enrolling non-SmartStart S2 devices).

As an S2 device:
If the Z-Wave controller is not SmartStart-compatible, it is recommended to enroll this device as an S2 device for enhanced security and encryption features.

As an S0 device:
If the Z-Wave controller is not SmartStart or S2-compatible, this device can be enrolled in the traditional way as an S0 device.
- Place the Z-Wave controller into Add Mode.
- Press and release the Z-Wave® button 3 times quickly. The LED indicator will start flashing to confirm inclusion mode and turn off once inclusion is completed.
To delete a Zooz Water Sensor (ZSE42):
- Place the Z-Wave controller into Delete Mode.
- Press and release the Z-Wave® button on the sensor 3 times as quickly as possible.
- Your hub will confirm exclusion and the device will disappear from your controller's device list.
To reset a Zooz Water Sensor (ZSE42):
- Make sure the sensor is powered, then click the Z-Wave button twice and hold it the third time for 10 seconds. The LED indicator will blink continuously.
- Immediately after, click the Z-Wave button twice more to finalize the reset.
- The LED indicator will flash 3 times to confirm a successful reset.
