Enroll, delete, or reset a JascoPro Smart Water Leak Sensor (81018)

The JascoPro Smart Water Leak Sensor (81018) can be enrolled into or deleted from a Z-Wave network following the instructions below.

To enroll a JascoPro Smart Water Leak Sensor (81018):

As a SmartStart device:

It is recommended to enroll this device as a SmartStart device to eliminate the need to put Z-Wave controllers into Add Mode or to trigger devices (as is the case when enrolling non-SmartStart S2 devices).

As an S2 device:

If the Z-Wave controller is not SmartStart-compatible, it is recommended to enroll this device as an S2 device for enhanced security and encryption features.

As an S0 device:

If the Z-Wave controller is not SmartStart or S2-compatible, this device can be enrolled in the traditional way as an S0 device.

  1. Place the Z-Wave controller into Add Mode.
  2. Press and release the programming button. The blue LED flashes quickly as it searches for a network.
  3. When the sensor is joined to the network, the green LED lights for 2 seconds.
    • After 25 seconds, the blue LED will stop flashing if the sensor is not added to the network.
  4. If prompted by the controller to enter the S2 security code, refer to the QR code/security number on the back of the box or the QR code label on the product. Enter the 5-digit code.
  5. The green LED will activate for two seconds to confirm the sensor has been added in the network.

To delete a JascoPro Smart Water Leak Sensor (81018):

  1. Place the Z-Wave controller into Delete Mode.
  2. Press and release the programming button once on the sensor.
  3. The green LED will light for 2 seconds to indicate it has been removed.

To reset a JascoPro Smart Water Leak Sensor (81018):

  1. Remove the battery.
  2. Press the programming button while installing the battery. Continue pressing the programming button for 3 seconds.
  3. The red LED activates for two seconds, followed by three quick flashes to confirm the sensor has been reset.
