Enroll, delete, or reset an Aeotec Z-Wave Range Extender 7 (DSD37)
The Aeotec Z-Wave Range Extender 7 can be enrolled into or deleted from a Z-Wave network following the instructions below.

To enroll an Aeotec Z-Wave Range Extender 7 into a Z-Wave network:
As a SmartStart device:
It is recommended to enroll this device as a SmartStart device to eliminate the need to put Z-Wave controllers into Add Mode or to trigger devices (as is the case when enrolling non-SmartStart S2 devices).

As an S2 device:
If the Z-Wave controller is not SmartStart-compatible, it is recommended to enroll this device as an S2 device for enhanced security and encryption features.

As an S0 device:
If the Z-Wave controller is not SmartStart or S2-compatible, this device can be enrolled in the traditional way as an S0 device.
- Place the Z-Wave controller into Add Mode.
- Press the Action button on the Aeotec Z-Wave Range Extender 7. When successfully enrolled, the LED on the device will turn solid white for 2 seconds.
To delete an Aeotec Z-Wave Range Extender 7 from a Z-Wave network:
- Place the Z-Wave controller into Delete Mode.
- Press the Action button on the Aeotec Z-Wave Range Extender 7.
To reset an Aeotec Z-Wave Range Extender 7 to factory defaults:
Note: This should only be used in the event the Z-Wave network’s primary controller is missing or otherwise inoperable.
- Press and hold the Action button on the Aeotec Z-Wave Range Extender 7 for 20 seconds.
