Z-Wave® Remotes User Guide
Z-Wave® remotes offer increased convenience and boost customer engagement with Z-Wave® Remotes for Scene control. With Z-Wave® remotes, customers can configure remote-triggered Scenes from the Rules Builder on the Alarm.com Alarm.com customer website or Alarm.com app. Remote-triggered Scene rules enable customers to choose between multiple Scenes and trigger them without opening the Alarm.com Alarm.com app or going to the panel.

Frequently asked questions
Why doesn't the remote-triggered Scene disarm the panel?
To enhance security, remote-triggered Scene rules cannot disarm panels that are Armed Away.
Why do some remotes show an extra button on Alarm.com?
Some in-wall light switches that are also remotes can report an extra virtual button. The virtual button is typically activated by a connected accessory light switch for multi-way switch setups.
Are Scene stickers available for Z-Wave remotes?
Stickers with Scene icons can be printed to help indicate which button triggers which Scene. The following PDF includes icons for Scenes in two sizes: Printable Scene Icon Stickers. Additional sets of stickers can be added to the page to fill the sheet.
- The smaller icons will fit the smaller buttons (1 sticker per button), such as those on the Zooz Zen32 and Zen37. The intended size for small stickers (1 sticker per small button) is 0.9 cm X 0.9 cm.
- The larger icons will fit the larger buttons (up to 2 stickers per button) on the Zooz Zen32, Zen37, Zen34, and other switches that also function as remotes. The intended size for large stickers is 1.3 cm X 1.3 cm.
