Control an ADC-V622-WELL using digital pan/tilt and presets
The ADC-V622-WELL combines a wide-angle lens with digital zoom to simulate mechanical pan/tilt. This camera lets users view the entire area its lens covers or zoom in to focus on a particular point.
Position presets
Position presets are a way to program specific camera positions that users might want to return to.
Pan/tilt cameras do not have guard tour or continuous pan functionality, but users do have the option to point the camera to position presets when a specific event takes place.
Example: If the front door is opened, the camera can be told to pan to the front door and record. For more information on setting a recording rule to trigger the camera to move to a preset, see Create a recording rule that moves the ADC-V622 to a preset.
To configure a position preset:
Note: Presets can only be configured using the Alarm.com customer website. The Alarm.com app only has the ability to move the current position of pan/tilt cameras.
- Log in to the Alarm.com customer website.
- Click Video.
- Click Settings.
- Select the desired pan/tilt device.
- Click Video.
- Click Pan/Tilt Settings.
- To add/edit presets:
- Click
to edit an existing preset. - Click Create New to create a new preset.
- Click
- Reposition the camera as desired using the live preview.
- In the Preset name field, enter a name.
- In Preset icon, click to select a preset icon.
- Click Save.
To choose a preferred preset:
The preferred preset determines the default view for the camera. The camera always starts adjusted to its preferred preset when the user opens live video.
- Log in to the Alarm.com customer website.
- Click Video.
- Click Settings.
- Select the desired pan/tilt device.
- Click Video.
- Click Pan/Tilt Settings.
- Using the Preferred preset dropdown menu, select the preset to be the default.
- Click Save.
To adjust the camera view to a preset
To adjust the camera view to a preset using the Alarm.com customer website:
- Log in to the Alarm.com customer website.
- Click Video.
- Mouse over the live video stream, then click
.
- Click to select the preset to adjust the camera's position.
To adjust the camera view to a preset using the Alarm.com app:
- Log in to the Alarm.com app.
- Tap Video.
- Tap
on the desired pan/tilt camera view. - Tap to open the Pan/Tilt Preset menu.
- Tap to select the preset to adjust the camera's position.
