Wellness for Qolsys - Installation Guide

Overview

Alarm.com's Wellness solution enables independent living for older adults and loved ones with a wellness safety net, enhances health outcomes by supporting an active lifestyle, and provides insight into seniors' health trends that can be acted upon.

For a general overview of Alarm.com's Wellness solution, see Wellness Solutions.

Wellness Dashboard

The Wellness Dashboard provides caregivers a way to monitor activity in the home and care for their loved ones. Caregivers can set up notifications to alert them of unusual activity, and with home automation, they can set up rules to improve safety (e.g., turn on lights when bed sensor is not activated in the middle of the night).

This page displays a 24-hour timeline of the customer's activity, especially Motion Detector activation and occupancy sensor activity.

  • A blue line indicates a sensor is activated. Hovering the mouse over the blue line gives the specific time window of the activation event.
  • A yellow line indicates that a sensor alert (notification) was sent.
  • A red line indicates that an emergency button was pressed and an alarm was activated.

The status box next to each sensor updates in real-time to show the current status of the sensor.

Activity by Rooms View

Activity by Rooms view is selected by clicking the Select a View dropdown menu and selecting Activity by Rooms.

The customer can toggle between Activity by Sensor and Activity by Rooms by using the Select a View dropdown menu. Switching to Activity by Room changes the page to what is shown above.

This allows customers to get a room-by-room report on the usage and day-to-day activities of the client in the home, allowing for a greater degree of awareness and peace of mind.

In addition to the activities view, Alarm.com will keep track of events over time and create averages that are displayed on the Behaviors page. These averages allow us to compare the activity of a single day with a standard activity pattern. If the customer's behavior falls outside of the average, it will be noted in yellow or red on this chart. This will help to identify variations in sleep, movement or restroom visits that could indicate a decline in customer health.

To change to the Trends view, use the Select a View dropdown menu and select View Trends.

The trends view allows you to see the typical high and low points throughout the day for each sensor. This allows you to see what is normal activity and what might be abnormal activity.
